Hi Year 5 this weeks on line homework relates to place value. Learning Objective: To recognise the value of digits as units, tens, hundreds and thousands.

Follow the link below to the website and try to find the dolphin each time - not the shark. See how long you can survive on the hardest activity numbers up to 999.

    I did the the dolphin work first,maria helped me on it.

    Then i did the place value work.
    I found it ok at first then it got easier.

    I did your your dolphin work and i did the quiz but the other one did not work me and my mum tried to do it. it just wouldn't let us drag the numbers, but I understood what I needed to do.

    I played the dolphin works. I began with the easy stage and then I jumped to the hardest stage. It was a lot harder but I got there in the end! OK! I did get two wrong!

    I enjoyed the dolphin and sharks game
    it was a fun way of counting.I knew what to do
    but I could not get the numbers to stay in the boxes.I found the Quiz ok.

    I enjoyed the dolphin game it was easy at first but got harder, I had 10 out of 10 on the quiz.
    We couldn't get the number machine to work on the school's blog but it did on the bbc website.

    I found the dolphin task very easy and i only got 3 bites out of my boat on the last section.
    The "try me" one didn't work, even with my mum's help. I knew what to do though.
    The quiz was fun and i learnt about minus numbers.

Hi Mr.Llewelyn and Mrs Marlow, I did the dolphin work first that was easy, but i couldnt get the drag and drop thing to work, when i dragged it,it wouldnt stay. it kept going back so i told my mum and she couldnt get it to work so then we left it. Then we did the maths test and that was ok. from Cora

  23. Hi Mr Llewellyn and Mrs marlow. Finaly I finished. I liked the dolphin work - it was quite easy except for the 999. I did the quiz quite easily, but I couldn't fit the numebrs into the number machine - it wouldn't work. From Toby.

  28. Hi mrs marlow and Mr llwelyn I really enjoyed all the maths games on the computer. I think my mum had more fun!!!!She wanted lots of goes I had to wait ages for my turn. I found the activities easy and my mum was really happy with me.

    When you had to drag the numbers into the machine it would not let you drag the numbers. In the quiz i got ten out of ten and the dolphin game was quite easy. I survived for 55 turns.

  34. hi mr llewellyn and mrs malow i did do my home work but accidently sent the message to sam davis in year 8 i did the dolphin part first and it was easy the second bit was a bit hard and didnt work very well.i did the quiz and had 6 / 10 rebekah

  35. I completed my homework the bitesize program did not work. I found the decimal points a bit hard
    so my dad gave me some help see you in school
