Geography - What's the Issue?
Last week we investigated whether or not there was sufficient car parking spaces in the village for the amount of parents wishing to drive to pick up their children from school.
Yesterday the children were really given a thinking skills challenge. They were given pictures of eight locations in the village and were asked to work collaboratively in groups and work out why each of these would be affected by the charges in the car park.
At first, many of the children found this rather difficult. After one or two pictures they got the hang of it and were coming up with super reasons. With this being such a pertinent issue in the local area, many of the local children had strong feelings about it.
Here you can see J5 and J6 with their thinking caps on trying to work out the effect of the charges would have on the athletic club and its car park.
