Instructional Writing: Pupil Example

On Wednesday we completed an assessed piece of work. Here is one very good example.

Mob, The Game.

Mob is such a great game, so I hope you all enjoy playing it. Mob is for any gender and any age.

You will need a huge place to play, with a lot of excellent hiding places. 5 -20 players.
  • First, choose a caller by doing 'One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato, Four'.
  • Next, the caller counts to 50, slowly, while standing at the 'Mob Post'.
  • After that, all of the other people hide in the best place possible in the area that your group have chosen.
  • Then, when the caller has stopped counting and you think it is the right time to go, you run to the 'Mob Post' and shout when you get there. You say, 'save myself 1,2,3,' or if you are last say 'save all family 1,2,3.' You must get to the post before the caller, or you are out.
  • If no one gets caught, the same person is 'on'.
  • Finally, if the caller catches you and says 'Mob, Mob...........1,2,3', you are 'on'.
You casn play for as long as you like!

Rules

Only play by these rules.

If you are 'on', do not spoil it for everyone by opening your eyes.

When you are 'on', do not skip numbers when counting.

When you are 'on', do not cheat and say you have caught them when you haven't.

Did you enjoy the game?
