Cardiff Blues Training

On Thursday, Tom from the Cardiff Blues came to school to give both classes a rugby session. We worked on our tag rugby, we stood back to back as rats and rabbits and when a rat / rabbit was called we had to make it to the other side before being tagged.
We then worked on our running and passing skills. We needed to work together and employ our rapidly improving communication and thinking skills. We had to remember to pass backwards, accelerate when holding the ball and make a target to catch the ball.

We then did the same passing activity with opposition in the way, it wasn't as easy with someone trying to intercept the ball but all the children worked hard and did well.
