Local History

Over the next few weeks we will be researching the lives and deaths of some of the soldiers on the War Memorial. I looked up Charles Bartlett. Using various search engines I found this information.





Pte. Charles Bartlett     241726 1st/5th Bn. Welsh Regiment. 159 Bde, 53rd Div. Born Miskin. Resided Miskin. Enlisted Cardiff. Age 24. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bartlett, Ivy Cottage, Miskin Village Pontyclun. K.I.A. 1st battle of Gaza, Palestine, on 26/03/17. No known grave. Also commemorated on the Jerusalem Memorial, Israel. Also commemorated on the Miskin Village Memorial.
