DT CHALLENGE

Last Friday was our DT challenge day where we had to create an attractive looking healthy meal for a younger child that was going to encourage them to eat a healthy diet. The children have been working really hard on their keeping healthy project for the last few weeks and really enjoyed creating the meals.

We invited the reception children over to peer assess our work and tell us if we had been successful in our aims.
We realised that it is not always easy to get children to eat a healthy, balanced diet but there are ways to encourage them.

This meal has a range of food groups, can you name them.
E.g. Vitamins in oranges

We had to do the washing up at the end.

We learnt skills such as cutting, peeling, slicing and arranging.
