Mountain Exploring!

We went to the Brecon Mountain Centre to look at some of the different features within the National Park. The weather wasn't very kind to us- it was windy and it poured down all day. We definitely got to experience what it would be like to try and survive in harsh conditions!

These are some of the bomb craters. We are trying to shelter from the wind and rain.

Here we are using actions to help us learn how glaciers formed in the Brecon Beacons.
This is a pond/ marsh habitat.

These are some of the stones left behind from a glacier.

Here we are pretending to be a Roman Army, climbing the hill to attack the Celts at the fort.
We've made it to the top!
Here we are trying to to have lunch in our survival shelters!

This is the the 4000 yr old standing stone.

Many thanks to our guides from the centre- they were excellent! Well done all, as the guides said that we were very well behaved. Da iawn!
