Hi year 5, we hope that you are having a lovely (extended) weekend. Just so that you don't get too bored over the weekend we thought that we could give you something to enhance your ICT skills. In ICT at the moment we are learning to use object-based graphics packages to produce images and visual models. We are comparing an object based package with a paint program such as "2 paint a picture". We worked out this week that visual models can be used to identify patterns and relationships. Visit the website below and work your way through the following pages until you reach the activity option page. Here, you can choose to design a classroom - as we did in class this week or you can have a go at designing a park. ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed improving the park design.Although mine did look a bit like a maze,because there were lots of hedges and paths everywhere,with 4 different parts of it and it made it look a lot bigger than normal.

First one I did was to design a classroom with the teacher's desk in the corner and a large work table for group activities. I had plants in the classroom and a computer desk for the internet. The second one I did was a park with a large pond with reeds for ducks to live in and lots of shady trees and benches to sit with flpwer beds and paths to folow and a playgound for children to play on. ReplyDeleteI designed a classroom first then went onto designing a park in lots more detail. I made swings, had a pond, hopscotch game and a tyre course. There were benches scattered around the park and a path to take people to the things. See you tomorrow

The classroom had a big square table with 24 seats and a desk with a computer and 2 tables where the Teacher would sit.There was also 3 other computers by the windows.
