This half term we have been investigating the different features involved in producing adverts. We then planned, wrote, produced and edited our own adverts for our own products based on what our group thought was the most important feature E.g. Action and music, a strong tag line (every little helps),a story, humour, persuasive language etc. Click below and see what you think...

Respect Week: Year 5 acting as good role models
As part of respect week we decided to teach Year 1 some new skills. We taught them a Welsh nursery rhyme (above), a new computer program (2 create), a new game (two below), how to eat healthily(three pictures down) and an aerobics lesson (immediately below). Each session was designed and delivered entirely by the pupils.

This Week Is Respect Week
This week is national anti-bullying week. To mark the week we have been taking part in numerous activities and initiatives relating to respect, responsibility, friendship and honouring rules. Above is the Cardiff City mascot Barclay signing our "Say no to bullying week".
All of year 5 recieved gold awards today from the Football Association of Wales for taking part in their football in the commuity project.
On Monday the South Wales Police riot squad came in. They spoke to us about their role in the community and we discussed how we can play a positive role to help them in their jobs.
