Video:The Piano

History/Literacy: Film Scripts

Today we watched a short film called 'The Piano'. This is a silent film which shows flashbacks of an old man's life. We then discussed our own films. We decided that we would work out our structure frame by frame. We used the information that we had gathered on our soldiers to start to structure our films. We discussed what each section of our film would be about, wrote a short script, decided whether it would be in colour or black and white and also began to think about music that we could use.

A Visit From Pudsey Bear

This morning we enjoyed a wonderful visit from Pudsey Bear. He handed out Merit Awards and then helped Mr Llewellyn set funny tasks for the teachers. These included singing on the stage, taking part in a country dancing demonstration, eating cold baked beans, being covered with foam and dancing 'Gangnam' style. Thanks Mr Llewellyn....nothing like a bit of ritual humiliation on a Friday morning!!!!!!! We all had a great time (revenge is being plotted)!
